An extraordinary performance by the standards of the 21st century was recorded by Michael Bridges of the Brooklyn Nets, who completed his sixth season in the NBA and still has not lost a single game. He hasn’t been injured, sick, or rested for 474 consecutive games. And it continues…

The new generation of NBA players (perhaps the previous one as well) has been accused by many – usually by former superstars of the league – of being lazy. How at the slightest thing he is out of action, he gets injured… “very easily” and how several protagonists of the league ask for time off for no reason.

That is why the administration of the top league has incorporated into its regulations, new circulars (Load Management) that mainly protect the fans and consumers, who pay expensive tickets to see their favorite players and they ultimately did not compete for reasons that they have nothing to do with their health and physical integrity.

These laws, however, do not… touch Michael Bridges . Because, the 28-year-old forward of the Brooklyn Nets does not give rights and always gives his presence. In fact, he does it with such frequency and without any absence all these years. A fact that seems unbelievable, but it is true.

He made his debut in the NBA , wearing the jersey of the Phoenix Suns in the first match of the 2018-19 season and since then until today he has not missed a game even for… a sample.

It is six seasons and 474 matches , in which he has played in all of them, 407 as a member of the first five, either of the Suns , or of the Nets , to which he was transferred in exchange for the move of Kevin Durant to Phoenix (in the middle of the season 2022- 23).

In the new season (2024-25), since the Nets have been eliminated from the post season and are going on vacation, Michael Bridges intends to continue his terrible performance that nowadays acquires a terrible uniqueness, but is still far from absolute “miracle” of consecutive games in the NBA.

Because AC Green didn’t miss a single game from 1987 to 1998. And it’s the absolute and… haunting record of 1,192 games! In all, the now 60-year-old veteran, but dynamic forward in his youth, has missed just three games in a total of 15 seasons in his professional career.
